Government have announced funding for a second round of pharmacists in GP practice.

Government have announced funding for a second round of pharmacists in GP practice. Howbeck Healthcare Limited helped 3 GP federations win bids for round 1 funding and ran the interview/selection process. We now have 20+ pharmacists in post. South Cheshire CCG have awarded the contract for Community Services to a consortium of…

South Cheshire CCG have awarded the contract for Community Services to a consortium of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the South Cheshire and Vale Royal GP Alliances. Howbeck Healthcare Limited provided the personnel who ran the bidding process from the GP alliance side working with the other providers. The new entity will be known as the Central Cheshire Integrated Community Partnership (CCICP) and there are high hopes of delivering innovative community services that deliver the CCGs connecting care strategy.

Any iPhone app developers fancy creating an app for patients based on the Diabetes UK 15 healthcare essentials with me? (I’ve a good idea) I think Apples Healthkit and Carekit have a load of interesting possibilities. I’m not at this stage looking to commercialise it - just build something and see what happens - awards.. who knows… get in touch.

Attended a GP Bullround event yesterday.

Attended a GP Bullround event yesterday. Met some interesting people, some great ideas, however struck by the fact that money is being invested into private healthcare rather than NHS as NHS is seen as difficult and slow. Comments people made, clearly show that the problem is they just don’t understand the NHS and the financial flows. Knowing who benefits and who will pay is the key to cracking the NHS. anyone know of a simple (CHEAP) app that will run on my desktop and allow me to text a message to a patient - i dont want any fancy features like bulk mails or 2 way messaging - using the currently free nhs sms gateway would be good but a commercial one that is cheap is ok- grabbing the mobile number from my currently selected patient in emis web even better but i guess if i can copy and paste thats ok.

Interested in speaking to anyone who has semi-merged GP practices - ie not fully merged…

Interested in speaking to anyone who has semi-merged GP practices - ie not fully merged them into one entity (done that) but got separate practices on separate sites coming together in some form of overarching agreement with separate “partners” but shared back offices. Have a group of practices that dont want to fully merge into a super practice but do want to explore the options on the way to that.
