Should every home have a pulse oximeter?
Should we be giving away free pulse oximeters or even having them available to collect from collection points (amazon) for people that need them?
If the Tsunami of infection is coming - one of the most important markers of who needs medical care is their O2Sats. A lot of areas have a scheme whereby people can go in and get a pulseox and be monitored remotely - several Healthtech companies are providing this. However, if numbers are truly huge - doesn’t each household/address need one? Just like we expect everyone to be able to take a temp - take your own pulse ox, know how to do it, and if and only if it’s low ask for help - might cut down on loads of visits/calls/activity.
P.S. If you don’t have one already, buy one!
