In this post Dr Neil Paul asks for some feedback from GP Partners.
“I’m interested in feedback from colleagues who are GP Partners. Traditionally GP Partners get paid a session per half day worked, so 4 days = 8 sessions.
A lot of argument can result inside a practice trying to make sure everyone is working the same and pulling their fair share. Do any practices out there run a different system, for example – different partners do different duties and perhaps agree to have different workloads and are happy to take a perhaps lower share? e.g. work 4 days and do 20 min appt and perhaps get 0.5 or 0.6 shares per session. Does anyone have an other ways of doing it, id be inmterested to know? “
