FENO testing finally coming
By end of next week every practice in South Cheshire and Vale Royal CCGs that wants one will have access to a FeNO machine. These machines have been recommended by NICE for a while but their uptake appears to have been very slow in both primary and secondary care. However they should be really useful in the diagnosis of asthma and the management of obstructive respiratory diseases. We are hoping they pay for themselves by helping reduce unnecessary prescriptions. Its been a great example of our CCG and GP Federation working together. #nhs #feno #asthma
